About

I started my career in Sydney working for 15 years in the field of public relations/photo journalism, commercial and advertising photography working for some of the major technology companies and publications of that time. In 1991 I moved to Queensland and established a new studio, servicing clients from around Australia & overseas. In partnership with my wife Judy, we offer comprehensive production services, our combined skills with organisation and creative thought allow us to offer clients a comprehensive management facility.

I’m a past National President of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) -2014/2016- and a past Board Member (7 years); have served on the national advisory committee for commercial photographers; convened 4 National Conferences for the Institute; and helped establish the AIPP Mentoring program for emerging professional photographers. I  am a trained photographic judge and also run educational workshops and tutorials. In my role as an AIPP advocate I have represented the Industry in submissions to the Australian Law Reform Commission and the ATO.
I was awarded by the Institute the distinction of Master Photographer in 2003 and made an Honorary Life Member in 2013

My passion for photography combined with the experience gained by working with designers and agencies from around the country, has given me the flexibility and confidence to tackle any project or style of photography understanding the importance of the communication within every image.
While I’m based in South East Queensland I work regularly on the eastern seaboard and worked by commission throughout Australia, the USA and the Asia Pacific arena.
